Earlier Planted Oat cover crop

After these Oats were established I broadcast Crimson Clover into them. It will grow under the Oats and be more protected from early frosts. Both will Winter kill and be easy to disk harrow in come Spring. They hold the soil, keep down weeds and will enrich when tilled in.
