When I was a little girl, I remember my grandparents having plates of dry beans on their sun porch. Grandpa would save bean and corn seed from year to year, never having to buy any. He taught me how to garden and save seed. I guess you could say gardening is in my blood. For more than 30 years my husband and I have owned our own farm. We used to raise livestock, hay, and grain. Now I grow seeds to sell. I have also grown seeds for a major seed company.
In 2007 I decided to combine my passion for gardening with my experience saving seeds. That is when Seed for Security got started. My son built this website and here we are today.
