Pumpkin Patch

These pumpkins were planted in two rows five feet apart, and mulched with straw. They now have sent out runners to cover an area 15 feet wide. I have found the number of seeds produced, and how long they last in storage are both improved by dense plantings on very fertile soil. You shouldn't be planting this close in ordinary garden soil.
