This simple and inexpensive SONY analog radio tunes FM, AM and one SW band from below 2.3 to 7.35 MHz. It covers the SW meter bands 120, 90, 75, 60, 49, and 41 meters in that single range. Those are the best bands for evening listening. It takes more that 2.5 turns of the tuning knob to get from one end of the bands to the other. The sound is very pleasant, and with a speaker about 3.5 inches in diameter, it can easily be heard half way across a large room. It uses 2 D cells and boasts 220 hours of battery life. Adapters are available to power this radio with AA cells. My rating for ability to hear many stations is a solid B on all bands. With shipping from Asia, I paid less than $45.
