Cornbread making 2

This is the Kitchenaid grain mill attachment making the first coarse grind of our flint Indian corn. An electric mill like this saves much time and effort, and we even have an inverter to run it when the power is off. I would recommend everyone have a hand powered mill also, but for regular use, it is a luxury we enjoy. Notice the corn meal is going right into the mixing bowl.
