Beans ready to 'Bake'

Once the cooked beans are layered with the seasonings and sweetenings you desire,top off the Crock Pot with water you cooked the beans in. This is about the right amount of liquid so they will not dry out. In a conventional oven, you should save some cooking water to top off the beans. Check the beans every hour or two, and add the extra cooking juice when needed.
